University entrance exam support – Thien Long joins hand with the whole country to support millions of candidates

Beginning from the difficulty of candidates

Many years ago, after finishing the high school graduation exam, thousands of students all over the country flocked to big cities to attend the university entrance exam. Most of students and their parents have many difficulties and confusion because of the first time being in a big city, as well as the pressure of a vital exam.

Because of that fact, in 1997, a support program for students was made to assist the students who lives far from home. Until 2001, Ho Chi Minh City Student Assistance Center (under Youth Union) united with Thien Long Group to expand this model and organize the program with the official name “Exam Season Support”. After 19 years since the beginning of its mission, University Entrance Exam Support does not only offer support for the candidates to be confident to conquer the exam, it is also the place to connect the loving hearts.

University Entrance Exam Support provides with many counselling forms for students: diverse support through website, counselling software… starting from choosing schools suitable with students’ ability, to going to exam venue, picking up and dropping off students both days and nights…, and developing reasonable motorcycle taxi model, counselling hotline and searching and negotiating renting rooms prices with the most affordable price for candidates and their parents, giving specific instructions about renting rooms for students and their parents, giving directions on the most convenient roads for students and their parents, instructing students on the exam time, room and procedures and ensuring traffic order and safety at the exam venue… For the past few years, volunteers and the program organizing board have always comes up with new initiatives in the supporting task.

Because of its humane and helpful meaning, the program is favored and actively participated by many sections of society. Everyone, from students to civil servants, the working class people and religious organizations, all actively participated in the program. The blue shirts worn by the volunteers of the program appear everywhere, from stations, bus stops, streets, exam venues to renting rooms to support students.

Each year, the program is expanded with more participants, more cheap or free renting rooms, more students and parents are helped…

Since its establishment, the program has helped millions of candidates to be encouraged to overcome difficulty to step into university with a bright future. Many students who was helped then volunteered to be in the program as a profound humane continuation. This is also the road that “Exam Season Support” has the bigger and bigger favor and support from the people and the related agencies.

Develop for Vietnamese education

It can be said that University Entrance Exam Support has been an inevitable part in each exam season in Vietnam. After all these years since the beginning of its mission, University Entrance Exam Support is not only the support for the candidates to be confident to conquer the exam, it is also the place to connect the loving hearts and spread the solidarity spirit from the program to the community.

Accompanied with University Entrance Exam Support since the early days, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tam – Chief Executive Officer of Thien Long Group realized its value and hoped to support this humane initiative.

It can be said that University Entrance Exam Support is a program that contributes to the development of Vietnamese educational system.
