THIEN LONG HONORS TEACHERS, TOGETHER SERVING LEARNING

Date : 05-09-2025

TTTĐ – The program “Chia sẻ cùng thầy cô” continued its mission of gratitude and spreading love with a launch press conference held in Hanoi on August 26. After more than a decade of implementation, the program has become a remarkable initiative, offering support to teachers who tirelessly devote themselves to education in the most challenging regions of the country.

This year’s event carries even greater significance as it takes place amid major national milestones: the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2), the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20), and in celebration of the 14th National Party Congress.

Spreading the Message of Gratitude to Teachers

Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Nguyễn Tường Lâm, Secretary of the Central Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Youth Federation, shared:
“Since 2015, the program ‘Chia sẻ cùng thầy cô’ has honored 576 teachers with outstanding contributions to education. In 2025, we hope the program will not only stop at recognition but also provide practical support, empowering teachers in border areas, islands, and remote regions.”

This year, the program is expected to honor 80 teachers, including “green-uniform teachers” — officers and soldiers of the Border Guard who directly participate in literacy programs and teach children and youth in 248 border communes and wards across the country.

The 2025 edition will be carried out as a comprehensive communication campaign from September to November, combining both online and offline activities. These include the TikTok contest “Tri ân thầy cô – Chia sẻ cùng thầy cô” (Gratitude to Teachers – Sharing with Teachers), which encourages students, alumni, and the community to create short videos to express gratitude to their teachers. The contest runs from November 1 to November 20, with prizes of up to VND 10 million.

The “Báo chí chia sẻ cùng thầy cô” (Journalism Sharing with Teachers) contest is dedicated to reporters, journalists, and collaborators writing about exemplary role models in the education sector. The top prize is valued at VND 10 million, with results announced at the end of November.

In addition, the Journey of Gratitude to Teachers will take the Organizing Committee directly to disadvantaged areas to visit, present gifts, award scholarships, and support infrastructure such as libraries, dormitories, and restrooms.

A “Connection Point” Between Generations

At the press conference, TikToker Lê Bống emotionally recalled her childhood memories:
“In primary school, when we first switched from pencils to ink pens, my second-grade homeroom teacher told us: ‘From now on, we will all use Thiên Long pens together!’ Since then, I grew up with knowledge and those pens through every math problem and essay.”

In 2022, she created a video to thank her high school teacher, which received over 9 million views. “I realized that the program ‘Chia sẻ cùng thầy cô’ is like a ‘connection point’ linking generations of students, allowing us to express gratitude to those who lit the flame of knowledge. Today, being an ambassador of the program, I feel truly honored and grateful. I believe this program will continue nurturing young people’s dreams and inspire them to contribute to the nation.”

Lê Bống also shared her wish to contribute to building schools and classrooms for students in mountainous areas. She said: “When I listened to and understood the difficulties of the teachers, I felt even more compelled to contribute. The happiest moment was knowing that the program will continue to support more schools, bringing joy to both teachers and students.”

The teachers honored in 2025 all meet strict criteria: having exemplary ethics and lifestyle; persevering through hardships; making contributions to improving the quality of education; and being loved by their communities. Young teachers who volunteer to work in disadvantaged areas, or those with many years of service, will be given priority in selection.

TikToker Lê Bống expressed: “For the past few years, I have also nurtured the dream of contributing a small part to building schools, bridges, or classrooms for children in remote areas.

Many projects, from my first films to community activities, have been tied to that aspiration.

Recently, as I have had more opportunities to come closer to teachers in disadvantaged areas, to listen and truly understand their difficulties, I have felt even more driven to contribute.”

Each honored teacher will receive a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training and the Vietnam Youth Federation, along with a commemorative medal and a savings book worth VND 10 million.

“Chia sẻ cùng thầy cô” is not only a program of recognition, but also a bridge of love, where those who “sow the seeds of knowledge” are given more motivation to continue their silent journey, contributing to lighting up the future for the next generation.

Applications for the program are accepted from July 1 to September 30, 2025, at the Office of the Vietnam Youth Federation Central Committee (64 Bà Triệu Street, Cửa Nam Ward, Hanoi).
