Closing Ceremony of the “Ngay hoi sac màu” 2024
On the morning of October 27, at the Hai Phong Children’s Cultural Palace, the Central Youth Council and Colokit Art Supplies – a brand of Thien Long Group Corporation – held the closing ceremony of the “Ngay hoi sac mau” 2024 and presented awards for the children’s drawing contest under the theme “I Paint the Colors of Volunteering.”
This is the seventh year the two units have collaborated to organize the “Ngay hoi sac mau” program, with the aim of creating a healthy and beneficial playground full of colors for children; encouraging creativity to foster and develop artistic and painting skills, helping them nurture their talents and grow comprehensively.
The “Ngay hoi sac mau” – a children’s drawing contest in 2024 – took place from May to September 2024 and received enthusiastic participation from Youth Council branches at all levels; children’s cultural centers; youth activity centers; Young Pioneer organizations; teachers; parents; and especially children across the country.
Mr. Lê Anh Quân – Vice Chairman of the Central Youth Council, Director of the Vietnam Children’s Support and Development Center
Speaking at the event, Mr. Lê Anh Quân shared:
“After more than five months of implementation, the Organizing Committee has received over 140,000 artworks from children, each displaying creative perspectives, rich content, and lively presentation. While each piece was unique, most of them praised role models and beautiful images of Young Pioneers, outstanding youths, and young volunteers in community service activities and programs supporting children.
They expressed children’s affection, trust, and pride in the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization; conveyed gratitude toward teachers who serve as Young Pioneer leaders and Union members dedicated to protecting, educating, and caring for children; and reflected volunteer efforts, social welfare programs, and active participation in community activities by youth organizations and members.”
Nguyễn Phúc Gia Hân – Grade 9/2 student, Xuan Dieu Secondary School, My Tho City, Tien Giang Province – Winner of the Special Prize.
This year, the “Ngay hoi sac mau” 2024 series – in response to the drawing contest – was held in nine provinces and cities: Hanoi, Lao Cai, Quang Binh, Dak Nong, Dong Thap, Khanh Hoa, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, and Ho Chi Minh City, attracting more than 4,000 participating children. The event offered a vibrant and creative space filled with colors for young participants.
The program was not only a meaningful activity for Vietnamese children in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the “Three Readiness” movement, the 10th anniversary of the “Year of Volunteering Youth”, and the 25th anniversary of the Summer Volunteer Youth Campaign, but also a forum for them to express their love, trust, and pride toward the guidance of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and its members, who are always wholeheartedly devoted to the younger generation and ready to serve the community.
From over 140,000 entries, the jury and organizing committee awarded 15 collective prizes to provincial/city Youth Councils and school Young Pioneer branches for outstanding performance in organizing and promoting the contest.
43 individual prizes were also presented to children with the most outstanding artworks, including: 1 overall Special Prize, 2 First Prizes, 4 Second Prizes, 6 Third Prizes, and 30 Consolation Prizes, evenly divided between the primary and secondary school categories (with a detailed prize list attached).
Within the framework of the program, the activity zone offered children a chance to immerse themselves in a colorful play space – painting and decorating useful personal items – as well as participating in lively physical games and receiving practical gifts. It is hoped that these experiences at the “Ngay hoi sac mau” will become cherished memories for the children.
